KAMAKURA branding & teaser video

This is a prospective Japanese brewing company called KAMAKURA, named after a seaside Japanese city. Visual inspiration was taken from the neon lights of Japan's city streets that illuminate the nightlife with bright colors.

The brand aims to evoke the modern, lively spirit of Japanese nightlife and introduce Americans to new flavors of beer. KAMAKURA's goal is to become a mainstay in the USA and elevate the status of Japanese beer.
The bottles were designed to mimic Japanese nightlife. Bright colors set in gradients were used against a dark background, allowing the brand to pop off of the bottle. A circle motif was used throughout the line to reference the abstract qualities of light at night.
Stills from the trailer show the variety of motions that guide you through the different flavors of each of the 4 flavors of beer - Cherry Ale, Oyster Stout, Rice Lager, and Super Dry. A variety of different angles and camera techniques were used to showcase each of the label designs in a different way. Color was used to allude to the neon signs of Japanese nightlife and showcase the bright colors used on each label.
