Crayola kids paint

Project : Packaging Design
Crayola redimix paint
Classroom Project, Year : 2012

An interactive and playful packaging for Crayola washable kids paint which encourages kids to learn painting in a fun filled way.
Problems identified in the existing packaging.
Exploring the form of the bottles to make it more interactive and interesting.
Similar renders of the sketches above.
This is the final concept.
The cap of one bottle fits into the bottom of another. This facilitates stackability and the bottles also work like building block toys.A colouring palette is provided at the base. It holds the bottles and adds value to the package.
Crayola's brand value is all about child safety. Also, since the brand is exclusively for kids, the product needs to encourage them to explore more in a fun filled way.
So the whole concept of #Fun #Handprints #exploring and connecting directly with the product was taken into considerations.
The engraved handprints on the bottle are a symbol of the "child's safety" factor of the brand.
The illustrations help the kids to relate to nature. Also, the style of illustration
suits the target age group.

The box will contain eight amazing redimix colours. A colour pallatte is also provided which holds the bottles and enhances the functional value of the product. There is also a sheet of paper with one animal in a box for the kids to paint it themselves and later on preserve their work.
