This map was created for my Visual Communication class. Each student was given a Detroit neighborhood, and assigned the task of creating an "idea map" for the area. Upon researching particular buildings in the area, I found there was a rich history in the neighborhood of Rivertown, particularly tied to a document called the National Register of Historic Places. So I took the information provided and designed this map in order to inform the viewer as well as stir up interest for our city's history.
