This is a comic page I made addressing the story of the famous Alchemist of all time Nicolas Flammel. And that artwork, ladies and gentleman, got me my first ever success of winning a competition and getting the 1st prize. The story goes like this... One day Mr. Flammel was browsing through his book of Alchemy called Codex. And thought to try a new formula for creating the Elixir of Life that he always avoided to try. Absent-mindedly the Alchemist started to mix all the ingredients into his pot. But somehow he lost his balance and a key ingredient fell on the ground near the fire. Thick smoke of green gas started to fill his lair and his eyes started to burn because of this. The old man was jolted by a sudden shock of electric current over his whole body. After a while the green smoke started to clear up and a young version of the Alchemist emerged from the smoke. And that was the tale of Alchemist's Transformation. 

This was my first sketch of the overall artwork. And at that point I started to paint over it 

1st frame was easy to paint as it was not in a difficult perspective. It just went well with the flow. 

The file of Photoshop crashed many times till that point as it became so much heavy due to lots of detailing. Therefore, I started working on separate documents and then stitched it. 

I had to change that frame so many times that I lost count. The previous frame or the fourth frame that I was working on was not up to the mark so I changed it. 

After a few colour correction and adjustments the artwork was ready. It was the most time consuming and difficult project I've ever worked on.
