ITCH
This is a story about itching. It mainly tells that the protagonist is affected and then has the feeling of itching, followed by a series of unconscious psychological and physical changes.
Addie practices yoga with her dog martin at home on weekends. She currently practicing a movement called a single-legged twining head which needs to be maintained for a long time. Martin seems to be a little bored at the side and scratches its ears with its feet. Addie glances at martin inadvertently, then she is attracted by its action.
With martin’s pleasant scratching frequency, Addie instantly has an indescribable itch that spring out from her back, as if a huge mosquito swoops down from the sky and bites the red itching bump at the back.
The itch seems to be a vine that grows under the skin. The mosquito tries to suck the blood on the bumps, but it sucks a mouthful of vines.
Addie couldn't stand it anymore. Watching Martin's pleasant scratching, she feels that the itch on her body becomes increasingly intense, so she unconsciously scratches with her feet. However, the itch seems to be getting more intense. And the vines seem to break through the skin and grow out of the red bump. They wrap around Addie's hands and feet to prevent her from scratching the itch.
Addie takes different yoga movements, trying to scratch the itch with her feet, but all fails reaching the point. Eventually, she suddenly realizes: Why not use hands? Therefore, she lifts up her clothes and finally scratches the itching place with her hands.
The moment she scratches the itch place with her hands, Addie feels the spring breeze, the blooming flowers, the singing birds and fragrant flowers. She seems to have come to the world of wonderland.
