This invitation was sent to clients to invite them to the 2012 Kentucky Derby. Each invitation contained a synthetic rose, information cards, and two mint julep cups with a recipe card to get the participants into the Kentucky Derby spirit. To add a flash of color, each of the rider's jerseys was introduced on the invitation cover. Each card in the invitation was hand-crafted. The blue argyle was printed on green paper. The information was printed on a separate cream sheet. Both of those were adhered to matte board that had hand colored edges match the brown box.
Our goal was to create a sense that this event was going to be fun and special. I enjoyed taking the time to make sure each piece was hand-crafted to convey the sense of elegance that can be seen at the Kentucky Derby.
