COMING OUT BRAND DESIGN

COMING OUT BRAND DESIGN
Branding is a marketing practice in which a company creates a name, symbol or design that is easily identifiable as belonging to the company. This helps to identify a product and distinguish it from other products and services is critical to a business because of the overall impact it makes on your company. Branding can change how people percept your brand, it can drive new business and increase brand awareness. It can also get your business recognition and increase business value and improve pride and customer satisfaction. The brand has a symbol, personality, is consistent, is intangible, has an associated story, has experienced, are more than just logos. A brand is an idea or image people have in mind when thinking about specific products, services and activities of a company, both practically and emotionally. It is therefore not just the physical features that create a brand but also the feelings that consumers develop towards the company or its product. This combination of physical and emotional cues is triggered when exposed to the name, the logo, the visual identity, or even the message communicated.
Though the apparel industry is vast no brands are catering exclusively for the LGBTQ segment, I decided on making something different from what all the fashion industry is doing. The USP(Unique Selling Point) is illustrative denim. The brand illustrations for the products are a medium of self-expression for our customers. For the name of the brand I researched for many names relating to LGBTQ people so I finally decided on naming my brand COMING OUT because my target audience is Indian citizen, in India most family even after the law is approved, they are not open with all this so coming out means coming out of the closet and showcasing who you are. I have chosen a colour palette from the LGBTQ flag and my brand elements are dots and lines inspired by the colours on the flag
