MINI ZINE is a fictional corner-store themed retail space located inside the Writer’s Block, a local independent bookstore. A play on both the concept of a “mini mart”, a small corner store, and the “mini zine”, a popular compact size of zines, Mini Zine evokes a sense of nostalgia while still being fresh.

Playful and inviting, the circle around the text forms a smiley face-like image. A textured edge was added to the original graphic in order to create a tactile feeling that is reminiscent of ripped paper. The bold, versatile logo of Mini Zine invites creators to edit and form their own variations.

The brand guide for mini zine is a compact booklet bound by a pamphlet stitch. The guide introduces the background and mood of Mini Zine, as well as detailed information about the typography, colors, and do’s and don’ts of the logo.
