Curious Faces
An experiment in viewer participation in character design. The concept was to create a piece of artwork where character design was out of my control. Much like looking at clouds, the characters forms would present themselves, and I merely would sketch them out, however still leaving enough to the imagination that there should be characters that I myself have yet to discover. The artwork can be viewed from any direction. There were a few minor rules and methods that were adhered to in order to maintain a harmonious aesthetic.

The image below shows how colour could be used to help isolate individual characters, however I believe that this was not needed, and the simplicity of leaving those boundaries and decisions to the viewer was a far more successful means of achieving the intended immersive goal of viewer curiosity and exploration.
