WOLFGANG WEINGART
A poster to commemorate the amazing legacy that Professor Weingart has left throughout the Graphic Design world. From studying at the most prestigious schools in Europe to teaching in them, unintentionally creating a New Style that would help revolutionize how Swiss fonts are treated. The Punk Swiss style is what his students claim he created although he says he has not tried to intentionally create a style that his students could follow to allow freedom in creativity.
The poster consists of art that portrays his style in the forms of making letters become offset and distorted in one way or another. The halftone dots are used a lot in his art as well as shapes that make things look distorted and I implemented those in the bottom right "w" as well as in the red shaped coming out in the background to give it a depth look. The type is split in three sections there in the middle red shapes to help show the unevenness of his art work. The letters in most his work do not go well with how they should be visual readable but its giving you enough to know how to read it or where to go to know what it says. My letters for his name are moved around but it can be read as "WOLFGANG WEINGART".
