SUMMARY:
One of (potentially many) craft fair posters for a local monthly craft fair.

I wanted a nice clean, easily legible base to begin with. To help make perfectly clear what it is an advert for, and get the important details out there. Hence the basic location and date being larger in size than the minor detail of the relevant floors and town (as the majority of its intended audience will be aware for the bars location anyway).
The colour scheme was chosen by the client as being a more 'eastery' colour than my WIP red. The eggs were created and added to make it more 'girly' (as requested). They ultimately serve, I think, as a good way to differentiate future posters, should I be given opportunity, while retaining a standard theme. I have attempted to make it look as if they are stickers added to an otherwise minimalist poster to 'jazz' it up.
The next fair is Star Wars themed and so I'm hoping, If I'm asked to do future posters, I can replace the eggs with a number of Star Wars items in a similar sticker look, and change the main colours to be more appropriate to the Star Wars theme.

Actually the 2nd version of this I did as the first one failed to take into account the thumbnail picture that encroaches on the bottom left of the cover picture.
I found that moving the place and time info to the left (thus above the thumbnail picture) allowed the best use of space. I could then use the rest to spread out the shortened form of the poster.
