Buck Beer Logos
There are several species of citrus trees whose fruits are called limes, including the Key lime (Citrus aurantifolia), Persian lime, kaffir lime, and desert lime. Limes are a rich source of vitamin C, sour and are often used to accent the flavours of foods and beverages.
Although it is a flavoring ingredient, it is not a vanilla, raspberry, or strawberry flavoring, as is often reported. Instead, it is a flavor enhancer or modifier.
Pale ale is an ale made with predominantly pale malt. The highest proportion of pale malts results in a lighter colour. The term 'pale ale' first appeared around 1703 for beersmade from malts dried with high-carbon coke, which resulted in a lighter colour than other beers popular at that time.
