The Period Project: Part 2

According to recent studies, only 12% of the 450 million women in India have a basic idea of menstrual hygiene and 82% Indian women resort to extremely unhygienic methods, resorting to alternatives like ash, sand, plastic, leaves, newspapers and rag clothes.
This Campaign aims at Empowering and Educating women in India and help eliminate myths and taboos surrounding the topic.
The first campaign consists of testimonials from everyday Indian women who share their experiences with menstruation in their daily lives. This campaign is a play on pop culture and was designed for mobile trucks. It plays on popular Bollywood references to educate people about the current Indian scenario of menstrual hygiene and information.
