The goal of this project is to get me in the habit of making
something everyday without overthinking every decision.
To allow me to make quick decisions, I set myself some
specific parameters that would speed up the process:
Color: I created 9 pre-determined color palettes based
on a range of moods. 9 moods for 9 planets. ;)
Typography: Using Adobe Fonts (Typekit), the rule is to
use the 6th typeface on the page that corresponds to the
poster number.
Example: for poster #1 I used the 6th
typeface on the 1st page of fonts.
Imagery: To determine the imagery I used a random
number generator to decide between 7 predetermined
methods of image making:
1: photo collage, 2: personal photography only, 3: typography only, 4: mixed media, 5: hand drawn imagery, 6: texture, 7: pattern
After deciding the method, I created the image based on
6 words that were pulled from my daily horoscope.
