Novak Djokovic - Rebranding
Celebrating Novak Djokovic Birthday and his return to Number 1 on the ATP ranking by this new visual identity.
Novak Djokovic is a Serbian professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 1 in men's singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Djokovic has won 15 Grand Slam singles titles, and he is the first Serbian player to be ranked No. 1 by the ATP.
New bold powerful identity
capturing Novak Djokovic’s
Attitude, Spirit and Way of Playing.
The logo represents Novak Djokovic’s initials N- and D- combined with the Number 1 to represent his ranking in the ATP.
And through the logo i used a visual cut to depict “flying” that reflects “dream and freedom”, and that’s inspired by his current logo elements, in addition to reflecting speed and power in tennis.
Color pallet is inspired by the most used colors of Novak’s outfit, that also reflects the colors of the Serbian flag “Novak’s home country”.
"Nole" typeface is designed to reflect the power
and the main idea of “flying” in the logo
so it’s a bold, all caps typeface
with a cut through some of its letters.
The idea was to develop a motion system
that reflects speed and power in tennis game
Stationary design is inspired by the tennis court, presented in a more formal way to work better for stationary, and a tennis ball is added to show sense of movement.
Novak Djokovic Foundation. Founded in 2007, the NDF is a global organization that champions and invests in early childhood education with a focus on Serbia.
