Santorini officially Thira or Thera is an island in the southern Aegean Sea. 

Santorini was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in history: the Minoan eruption, which took place about 3,600 years ago.

Fira village, is the capital of Santorini island. It is known for its litlle cubic houses overlooking the caldera of the volcano.

Imerovigli, also referred as "balcony to the Aegean", is a village in Santorini famous for its beautiful sunsets. It is built amphitheatrically around the caldera. White houses, narrow paved paths and many lovely churches are among the characteristics of the village.
