First of all the typography. I have decide to create a very draw typography cause it gives to her a real rock style. This type of writing gives a dirty, provocative style like the rock.
Why these strange lines ? these lines give as a speed, an energy to the words. I have wanted to show with that graphic elements the energetic side of the rock, and also of our festival.
In a logo the colors are really important. I have chosen a deep blue for the name of our festival cause its for me a color wich represents the rocks. The deep blue is the color of the oceans and they can be calm or raging like the rock.
I have chosen the light blue for the lines because this color give them a wind side and thus quick.
