In this type treatment, the pieces coming together imply the return from exile while the reconstruction of the words in the title reflect the rebuild that takes place in this story.

The News stories section on the left page is clean and airy, allowing for the reader to consume the information and move on. The House ad on the right carries most of the weight through the full bleeding of the image and block of color while the message ends on the power-corner, navigating the eye to an end-point.

In this piece, I connect faith and science in the message through type treatment extending the stem on the letter T in faith to form the letter I in science.

The heavy font on the right-hand page strikes a balance with the full bleed photo on the left - one does not feel heavier than the other while the block of color on the bottom of the right page works to bring attention to the call-out while also providing the text and map a foundation to rest upon.

I implemented the custom font I designed for athletics in the title, specifically for the words CREATING CHAMPIONS which I thought was a clever way to tie-in the athletics brand to this layout while also giving emphasis to the message through weight and point size.
