What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything? The question I asked myself when I embarked on this journey to discover who I am. This piece's purpose is to portray myself as a canvas, someone who can be anyone they want to as long as they have the courage. Painting myself with endless possibilities, pushing the limits of my dreams. I truly believe, like Vincent Van Gogh says, "I dream of painting and then I paint my dream". Paint that dream on yourself, and let others see the masterpiece that you are. 

This piece is a combination of two pictures I took, one of myself and one of the mural in my room. I used the oil paint filter to create an authentic oil painting effect. I used many photo filter layers to achieve sectioned colours and the polygonal lasso tool to distinguish each shape. The eraser tool at varying opacities helped to uncover parts of each of the two images that are being blended together. ). Starry Night is a very important painting because for me it portrays hope in the night sky when all else is lost.
