Misery | Movie Poster Design
This project that began in late June was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster for the 1990 psychological horror movie Misery (starring James Caan and Kathy Bates) by the way of a visual style that combines simplicity and minimalism together.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of a typewriter document setting that includes the title of the movie, the main cast, director and novel adaption credits, distribution information and a roman numeral-styled copyright symbol that all-in-all use different colours and text alignments in order to help assert hierarchy.

Other visual details include a gasoline spill in the top right-hand corner with the addition of a matchstick hanging overhead as to refer to a certain scene within the movie, alongside a grain texture in order to help push away from a look that I felt would appear far too flat, and way too polished for my own personal liking.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!
