The Breville, Little Sous Chef

Breville’s Little Sous Chef is a smartspeaker specifically for your kitchen.
It was created from a brief focused on predicting the user’s kitchen experience in 2025.

The Little Sous Chef verbally guiding the user through the preperation and cooking process by breaking down big tasks into smaller, more manageable ones, while providing tips and saving recipes to revisit later.

Its form is simplistic, chamfered form aims to emulate Breville’s design cues, with its stainless steel body and rubber bottom.It fits perfectly into the existing Breville range. This can be seen in this Keyshot render.

Mechanical Drawing

The form was modelled in Solidworks with its details and internals to present its size and internal functionality.

Appearance Model

The model was 3D printed and puttied and sanded until the surface was smooth.

The model was then spray painted to emulate a stainless steel body, the base was painted a matte black to emulate its rubber base and, green detailing was added on the buttons on the top to emulate LEDs of the power and volume buttons.

The purpose of the model was to present the scale and user interaction of the product.
