Its a two hour hike up the mountain, and another hour through the thick old jungle. The "Bwindi Impenetrable Forest" is true to its name. The rangers leading us on the trek machete our way through the bush. We joined another group of rangers who have been following the mountain gorillas since dawn. Before guiding us in the right direction they gather us and say,
"If they approach you, look down, and don't move". A simple and somewhat terrifying instruction.
We moved forward and met the most gentle, beautiful, and impressive beasts. Our kin.
