I decided to do a personal project of character turn arounds. These are my interpretations of the side kick villains from the popular Final Fantasy IV videogame. The original game was in pixel form and so I used mostly fan art and original character drawings as reference. These are the original game art, as well as, Yoshitaka Amano's concept drawings on the very right.

I wanted to keep the look of the characters close to their original physique but with a little flair.

Final results

I would say overall I am satisfied with the result but I would approach it differently the next time around to save myself more time. It was a good learning experiment nonetheless.
