Geometric Self Portrait

For this project we made Geometric self portraits. This project helped us learn how to better navigate and have a better understanding of Adobe Illustrator. We learned more about the eyedropper tool, Gradient tool, layers, and basic geometric shapes.
My process with this project was very simple. First I chose a selfie I wanted to use. Then I uploaded it to Illustrator and began to add different geometric shapes where there was a color contrast or variation in lighting on my selfie. I continued this process till I had all the variations marked with some shape. Then I went through with the eyedropper tool giving each shape one solid color tone, either my skin, hair, clothes, etc... it every shape was one shade. After that I added a blue gradient layer behind my newly created geometric self portrait. Then I uploaded my finish product to this site.
I learned quite a bit from this project and received a good refresher for how illustrator works. I reminded myself of all the quick short-cuts for the tools and learned new ones along the way. Learned how to use the eyedropper tool a lot better than I have before. Other than that the rest of the project was a refresher for me. I will definitely use the short-cuts in the future, on other projects, to save time on them.
