The 2012 Summer Olympics is a huge opportunity for London not just for the publicity but to attract tourist and show them everything London has to offer. To promote London to potential visitors who are looking for a fresh start we chose to use a guerrilla marketing campaign to attract the interest of tourists before the arrive in London for the Olympics.

A way this campaign will reach the masses is through a guerilla advertising campaign that is linked to a smart phone app. This guerilla advertising campaign will include stickers that will be placed in major cities across the world. These stickers will show icons one would associate with the British wave. The icons would be Buckingham Palace guards,a British Bobby, and wild punks. Along side the figures will be silhouette figures where someone could stand next to and take pictures with the icons. On the silhouettes will be the campaign logo, website, QR code and which number sticker it is.

To reflect the Union Jack of Great Britain the logo of the campaign would use a variation of the red and blue seen in the Union Jack. The theme of the campaign was to find your story in London and the rest of Great Britain. To demonstrate this theme the tagline is ‘find your story'. This tagline indicates that a person can find their fit within the country.

Along with our guerilla advertising, smart phone application, and web banner, we will also be utilizing subway advertising, bus shelter advertising, business to business, and magazine advertisements.
