SGB PTSD Medical Branding
Brand Design for Innovative Treatment // Book Cover Design

About
SGB stands for Stellate Ganglion Block and it is a new and innovative technique for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder pioneered by Dr. Lipov. This was part of a larger project that included medical brand design for the clinic, a non profit as well as a book publication that would be released in the future to raise further awareness for PTSD treatment.

This project included logo design to be used on the website, stationery, business cards and social media as well as medical scrubs. A book cover was also designed for a publication that would be released by the end of 2019-2020. The logo had to communicate speed and high efficiency as well as that it was medical related. We also used the same color scheme as the non-profit and a similar look and feel since they are both related.

Target Audience: Military and Non-Military Lay people looking to learn more about program.

Design Approach:
One concern was conveying that the treatment is for both military and non-military. An illustrative approach was considered but that would be too much detail to convey through a logo so we decided to go with a design solution that was more simple and abstract. This way it is able to adapt more easily to online and physical applications like medical scrubs in a way that looks professional.

It incorporates a syringe to communicate what the procedure is like and the tagline ‘From fight or flight to laughter’ is based on a real patient testimony and conveys the transition that the patient will go through and the experience of relief. It is also the title for the book release that will be coming up in the near future.
