Brief
Adobe Project 1324 collaborated with Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in San Diego to challenge emerging creatives 13 – 24 years old to portray sound in image through photography. The chosen winners will get to have their artwork exhibited in the museum.
Approach
Through my mixed media photograph, I wish to depict how sound and music have the ability to fully immerse and transport one's mind elsewhere.
I did a self portrait and chose to illustrate visual elements that are commonly associated to sounds.
Process
Firstly, I set up a camera with a self timer to capture the base photograph. Then, I photoshopped myself, darkened background and separated the layers for me to illustrate easier later on. Lastly, I illustrated on the photo to depict the sound moving around.
