Nissan Juke - Unveiling
I worked on this event during my internship at Hopscotch and was the longest project on which I worked on as the enormity of it had to be planned meticulously. Nissan had decided to unveil their new Nissan Juke, the first real update since its creation in 2009. The events team at Hopscotch had prepared the behemoth of a project, to unveil it in five different cities simultaneously, Paris, London, Milan, Barcelona and Cologne in a high concept experience for the press and influencers. The invited would be sent cryptic invitation to come to the Nissan Juke Spymaster headquarters, arrived there, they would live through a whole scenario in a realistic spy agency to discover the new Nissan Juke.
During this project, I had various tasks, firstly from a concept stand point, I helped the copywriter in charge of the event with the conception of the event. Later I was asked to join from a Art Director stand point.
Quartermaster J's screens
My first mission while working with the scenographer was to come up with the visual elements the the unveiling room. At first I was asked to create montages to fit the various screens in the room.
I made various montages and played a little with sound design to come up with what a quartermaster's lab would look and sound like.
Scrum-board
After that, I was also asked to design a scrum-board which J could have used and put all his ideas on. This project was unique during my internship as it allowed me to move away from the screen and play with paper and placement of information on a board in a coherent way butt have it resemble the board of a quartermaster like Q in James Bond, not a designer and therefore I had to step out of my own shoes and think as the character, this exercise was extremely strange but also a lot of fun.
