ESSENCE
Essence is the study of natural colour extracted from a variety of plants - spinach seeds, beet root, clitoria, cabbage, chilli, dragon fruit, tomato, onion skin, tumeric and pandan. It has been conducted towards the process of decolorisation and fabric dyeing. This project aims to investigate the sustainable energy resources. The finding was presented as an installation at White Canvas gallery, KBU International College. This is a booklet that designed to document the process and the exhibition.

Introduction
“ESSENCE” is a project about the study of natural colour from plants. Throughout the process, a variety of plants have been experimented by extracting the colour pigments from the leaves, flowers, roots as well as fruits of the plants. It has been conducted towards the process of decolorization as well as the effect of different mordant in the process of fabric dyeing using the extracted colour pigments. The experiment is carried out using household materials and other objects that can be found easily.
Experimentation and Exploration of Media and Material
All the illustrations of the posters were created by scanning the real objects with scanner.
Each of the illustrations was formed by moving the object while the process of scanning are in the progress.
