In the cup and plate project, I used a mold for the plate and I also made a pinch pot to form cup. I based my cup and plate around a fall theme. I had previously made a pumpkin teapot so I decided to base my cup as a pumpkin as well. I added clay in the form of vines on all three of the pieces. The plate includes many vines and leaves.

All of the sculptures together show unity through the fall theme that I picked out. They all have a unifying aspect that makes the pieces look good together. All of the sculptures include vines which makes it look like they are all twined together. The teapot and cup are both pumpkins with vines and they fit right in sitting on the leaf covered plate.

I started these pieces before Halloween and the idea of a fall themed tea set interested me. So I made a fall themed tea set. The plate has a traditional jack-o-lantern face carved in the bottom to represent Halloween. They can be used during November as well because pumpkins are still a big part of fall and not just Halloween.

I am very proud of the plate and how the tea pot and cup fit onto it. If I were to redo anything, I would try to make the size of the tea pot and cup larger because they came out rather small compared to average tea pots and cups.
