The project followed a holistic, collaborative and human-centered design approach which heavily emphasized the importance of respecting people, animal and place. The design processes included a mixture of primary and secondary research, hands-on concept validations and an abundance of design reviews and presentations.
The final design encourages children to move around the Climbing Tree by only using the unique climbing technique of the Sumatran orangutan. By learning through play, the interp aims to create a greater understanding and deeper sense connection between humankind and the animal kingdom to ensure its future.
