What Rocked Millennials &
Their Dating Lives in 2019
The term millennial is overused to describe a whole generation based on preconceived cliches that might or might not be true. One thing however, is a fact - this generation is different from all preceding ones. #TBH, it is difficult to understand them as on the one hand they admit having #FOMO when they are not a part of something and want to live their lives on their own terms because #YOLO. On the other hand, they are more aware and #woke,
caring about the environment, societal stereotypes, national events and several other things that their parents did not really think about.

2019 has been an eventful year and millennials were kept busy with several trends and events. While January was the time to kickstart all resolutions including how to find the partner of your choice, February was the month of love when St. Valentine's made an appearance. Then March came around and women were celebrated in all their glory and April marked the start of the political fever in the country when the world's largest democracy went in for its general elections. May was the start of summer (romances!) and June was all about celebrating each color in the rainbow being the pride month, that too the first one after the scrapping of #Article377. July marked the start of the rainy season and everyone brought out their chais and pakoras. August was a celebratory month as OkCupid launched their first 360 degree brand campaign in India which was all about ‘finding my kind’ of love, not society’s, friends or parents. September marked the launch of India’s mission to the moon and everyone in the country was pretty much over the moon. October came around and it was the start of the festive season with Diwali, the festival of lights, holidays and handsome bonuses. While women were celebrated in March, the men were not far behind as International Men's Day was celebrated with full fervour in November. December is all about counting down the days to the holiday season with barbeques, Christmas and new year making everyone merry!
