THE MOVIE MADE STIGMA

This project explored informing Americans about the harmful stigmas against mentally ill people that the media perpetrates. The thoughts of this research are backed by data presented in a way that captures attention, interests viewers, and teaches new things. 

This website was built to serve as a way to inform America of the stigma against mentally ill people very present in movies and in the media, and then to call them to not perpetuate that stigma. 

The bright colors were meant to be jarring without being violent, to show and call reference to movies that paint mentally ill people in a negative light, psychedelic in a sense, but tamer and more approachable. 

I wanted the graphs and the type to reflect that as well, and chose visuals that were clear by also interesting,
