I was asked to participate in a special show in Fort Wayne, Indiana called OPENxCLOSED. It featured 20 different local artists, half of whom created OPEN signs, and half of whom created CLOSED signs to celebrate some of the typography we see every day.

 

The one-night-only show was held in the 1835 Bldg on June 1st, 2013.

 

I opted to create an OPEN sign. It was illustrated entirely by hand in black ink, and measures about 12x12" at its finished size.
