Female Genital Mutilation is a procedure involving the partial or total removal of the external female genitalia whether for cultural, religious or other non-therapeutic reasons. This project was inspired by books I read on this topic and progressed into creating an illustration in pastels on deep red paper that later developed into the poster. As well as a 3 minutes animation using traditional techniques like paper cut outs and charcoal drawings.
