One of the most time-consuming projects I did for my digital illustration class is this landscape triptych. For this project, I had to create 3 landscape compositions with my landscape realism sketch and then combine them to create a triptych, which is an art form in the form of 3 separate areas that combine to create a whole piece of artwork.

1. Realism
For the first composition, I took my landscape realism sketch & painted over it. I also had to decide which color scheme I would use. I used cool colors, which are green, blue & purple, to execute realism in the scheme. I also used my usual tools when I paint, which are the Brush, Mixer Brush, Dodge, Burn, Smudge and Blur. It took a few days to paint over my sketch, but it was worth it.
2. Surrealism
For the second composition, I had to decide what to do with my painting to make it more surreal. In other terms, it means to combine ideas, images and objects in a strange, dream-like way. I used a road with a few cars on it, because I wanted to make sure that a few travelers can see my landscape through the windows as they drive past by. I thought that was a good idea for surrealism.
3. Non-Objective
For the third composition, I had to turn my surrealistic painting into something that's non-objective. In other terms, it tends to be geometric and doesn't represent specific objects, people, or other things found in the natural world of my painting.
4. Triptych
For the final composition (as seen at the top of this page), I took all 3 of my compositions and combined them together to create an entirely unique piece of art known as a landscape triptych.
