The modular park project developed as a part of a concept of a new housing estate "Novy Podil" which is planned at the Dnipro bank on the territory of the river port. The task of the project was to create a park that has a modular structure with maximum amount of green.
Since the housing estate planned on the industrial territory, the main feature of the park are two industrial cranes, which was not only saved but used as a composition dominant. A zone for public activities takes place between this cranes. They are also a reminding of an original function of this territory.
Using scripts we got nearly 200 versions of tracks and green location. Also in dependence of the most optimal transit ways that connects housing estate and the quay, the script got the stuffing perscent of the improvement elements and variations of it's location. It means that we got an instrument that generated park due to the attraction points (the housing estate exits on the one side and approaches to the quay area on the other).
After the most rational scheme of the planning were chosen we begun the development of modules that forms the park. Different variations with green benches and sheds were presented. When some variations of zones were got by hand, the script was used for it. In this way, if the number of blocks changed you will get new variations at the same time.
Besides the ground part of the park, we created pontons on the water used the same pixel structure. The distinctive feature is that green reaches the water with its roots and realised natural filtration of the water.
