The Fox and the grapes is one of aesop's fables for children, numbered 15 in the Perry Index. In Vietnam, the story is based on translations from Le Renard et les Raisins poem by La Fontaine. The narrative describes a fox that tries to eat grapes from a vine but cannot reach them.  Then, he states they are undesirable instead of admitting defeat. The expression "sour grapes" originated from this fable.
