Sol LeWitt Practical Museum

This museum map and signage was the final project for a Color Theory class I took at SVC.

The project was to imagine a museum, then create a map and signage for your museum with a particular focus on color and legibility. I chose Sol LeWitt as the subject of my museum, using bright primaries and the results of their overlapping to shape my color palette.

The deliverables for this project were physical printed maps. I did a fair amount of printing and color tuning to make the colors look exactly as I intended them to.
Supplemental signage for a section of the museum that functions as a living exhibit. The concept of this section is to allow museum-goers to experiment with LeWitt's instructions for specific artworks, fulfilling a dual purpose of allowing people to be directly involved in the art as well as displaying the growing, changing results of that ongoing, cooperative work.
