Stop-Motion Commercial
  • For an assignment, I was given Urban Outfitters to create a commercial for. As an art student in my twenties, it’s no surprise that i’m familiar with Urban Outfitters. They aim to attract young, alternative / artsy people who don’t mind spending a little extra on clothing & novelties. I decided that a stop motion that mixes a pretty model with drawings would be received well by the demographic (& it was when it was featured on urban outfitters’ blog). The story line follows a girl who finds uo (urban outfitters) and is overcome by a mixture of real & drawn clothing & novelties, a metaphor for how you feel when you walk into an urban outfitters for the first time.
