DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this project was to create a painting inspired by a famous artist and the artist’s distinctive style.
DESIGN BRIEF:
The painting that I created was inspired by Andy Warhol. I used a photo that I took at Waterfront Park in Charleston, South Carolina. With my painting, I recreated the style of pop art, which Andy Warhol was known for. I used acrylic paint on canvas as the medium. The colors that I used to create the painting were chosen based on colors that Andy Warhol was known for using in most of his paintings.
