This project was designed for Penguin Books in their Famous Couples series. Being an avid fan of the Hellboy series for years, I focused on the relationship between him and another character in the series, Liz Sherman, for the inspiration of this project. Originally, I had thought to mimic Mike Mignola's ( The creator of hellboy) art style for the general design but decided not to have that as the main focus. Instead, I incorporated the font from the series and designed the cover revolving around it by including thick black lines to break up forms and provide the audience with the illusion of depth.
