D-Vision Last Mile Vehicle

The following concept has been developed during the last year of Bachelor Degree studies at Politecnico di Torino. The academic course was Design for the Industrialisation.
The task has been to design a Last Mile Vehicle: a compact, electric, foldable means of transport to reach a destination in the city from a transportation hub.
D Vision concept is a foldable LMV to fit in a city car trunk, have a mileage of 20 km with one charge and be as light as possible. These vehicles are regarded as little motorcycle by the italian law, so they must travel on road with the other vehicles: that means that safety requirements like visibility in the traffic and good potholes absorption must be considered.
Handling, ergonomics, and visibility in traffic are the keywords of the vehicle. The study frame hides the battery and an ingenious mechanism that allows you to fold the LMV without bending over and in a few moments: by pulling the handle towards you and pressing the release button, the two wheels align and it is, therefore, possible to drag it like a trolley.
As regards the coordinated image of the product, the logo was created and the chromatic variants of the vehicle were designed. Concerning the use of the vehicle, the graphic layout of the application has been prepared to be used for starting and using the LMV.
