Close to Truth Graphic Design
The first picture is composed of an RF image from the NASA gallery. Using the backdrop of the scattered and vast universe I wanted explore the idea of comparative scale. Planet earth and it's moon (as the O in Cosmos) rest on old books reflected in the darkness of uncertainty. The imaginative minds published in the books almost outweighs the vastness of our tiny planet and the universe which holds it all in delicate balance. The logo is an overlay with color effects to bring out the background.
The second album cover is a representation of the "spark" that ignited our expanding universe. Just as God reaches out to bring life to Adam in Michelangelo's Chapel Fresco. I explored the idea of our universe beginning in the hand of some absent creator. Text has a small bevel and emboss to give a 3d effect and the social media icons added to urge listeners to explore aditional content on the various websites.
