While drawing the peacock, I felt like I should draw a dragonfly. Funny because I also don’t usually draw dragonflies! But I went with it. While I was looking up some images I stumbled across the meaning and was blown away that the meaning is so similar to the peacock...change and embracing yourself into a new life. I used some of the same methods here as with the peacock - sidewalk chalk, water to blend and charcoal for the shadow. I’ve enjoyed the chalk onto the rough texture of the concrete but most of all I’ve enjoyed getting back into painting. But this was a new method for me!
