I decided to use grey tones mainly for my color scheme and the penguin orange as my main accent color with hints on a blue accent color. I created a pattern background with the penguin icon for my main carousel and also for my sign up and sign in process. Other pattern backgrounds I made for other carousels, were created from icons I made for genres. I created breaks in my content using carousels in between cards, and made my cards different column sizes. I made use of imagery and pattern to keep my site interesting, in my main carousel I used a picture of a famous author and came up with the idea to make it a author meeting event. I included payment and delivery details into the sign up process so that the user can easily just purchase from their cart in one click, instead of doing the process all over again for every purchase. When i was redesigning my penguin website I wanted to keep it my users interested without using too little or too much content, too keep it simple but not boring, make it easy to navigate and understand, and provide all the content they will need when using my website.
