News of citizen driven humanitarian efforts have kept my spirits lifted while living in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many communities are unproportionally burdened by the pandemic--and among them is cantón El Carmen in San Salvador. In response to food and material shortages, my friends Mike and Mito have mobilized to support their community. This week alone, they delivered nearly 100 food packages of beans, rice, corn flour, and oil to Salvadoran neighbors.
