Animation

For this project, I wanted to have a simple animation, narrating the stages of drought. Within the story I will include the Hydro-Illogical cycles that one goes through which include apathy, awareness, concern, drought, panic and rain.

Inspiration:

These images really stood out to me because they are simple but very nicely made and still look professional. The colors and their compositions gave me many ideas as I looked through. Video game and advertisement media inspired me also as they are great ways of communication.

Storyboard:

Process: I planned to make it into an animated ad like animation, where towards the end of the ad it would show the Hydro-Illogical Cycle symbol to promote it.

Character: I wanted him to be simple and inviting to the viewer. I want him to be nicely dressed as this will be the perspective of someone who is probably more privileged than the average.

Composition 1: 

Here is the opening scene and the narrator for the story. First it starts off with the environment in the drought phase, then the camera zooms in where the character will introduce his world and then explain what happens when there is lack of water. Our perspective will transition to his back and we will be looking out the great big windows while the environment changes before our eyes while he explains the Hydro-Illogical Cycles.
