ROSSA
2018

Milan has the largest metro network in Italy. It consists of four lines for a total of 96.8km. The first line, the Red (M1) was inaugurated in 1968, followed by the Green (M2) in 1969, the Yellow (M3) in 1990 and the Lilac (M5) in 2013.

The project, in collaboration with Carolina Isella, focuses on the M1 line, which connects the city from the North-East, with terminus to Sesto 1° Maggio Fs, to the West, then dividing into two branches, one towards North-West with terminus to Rho-Fiera and another towards South-West, with terminus in Bisceglie. A photographic documentation, stop after stop, that highlights the structural differences that can be found from the periphery, to the center. The whole project was posted on Instagram, you can find it at this link.

This was my thesis project, shot entirely in 2018 during the summer months.
