The aim is to study the existing design of a matchbox and redesign it by improving the functionality and making its graphics more informative while restricting its manufacturing cost to its current manufacturing cost.
Problems taken into considerations :
- Picking one out of the lot gets messy
- Opening from the wrong end results in falling of the matchsticks
- Box is not sturdy enough
- Sometimes, not all the heads of matchsticks are on one side
The aim is to restricts its manufacturing price to the current manufacturing price and hence not many changes are expected to be done in graphics. Therefore, the aim is to design by making it more informative by doing less changes.
